Roofing Product Information

Shingle Roofing

Asphalt shingles represent at least 80% of the entire roofing market in the United States. They are economically versatile, are suited for many types of roof pitches, and come in a variety of colors and textures to complement any home. Shingles are made with fiberglass matting (sometimes organic matting) and are coated with asphalt for protection. One will mostly find architectural shingles being used by roofing contractors these days, but sometimes you will see the dated 3-tab shingle still in use. Elements can navigate any industrial equipment, heating and A/C units, solar panels, vents, and other problem areas on your flat roof with ease. Our Flat Roof photo gallery contains numerous product types and installation practices.

Standing Seam, Metal Interlocking, Metal Shingles, and Copper are the most common types of metal roofs. Tile Roofing

The modern roofing tile represents technological innovation at its finest. Many top companies use recycled materials in the manufacturing of roof tiles. Further, some companies even use used fryer oil to release the forms that the tiles are molded in–making it a solid ‘green’ option for your next roof. Further, they add a unique texture to a roof turning your home into an architectural marvel.

Tiles come in a variety of styles to complement any home or business: Spanish Tile, Flat Tile, Mission Tile, Pan Tile, Metal Tile. Newer tiles can reduce heat transfers from the attic by an additional 50% when compared to asphalt roofs. However the most important thing to know about tile is that the tile is only as good as the underlayment beneath it. A quality roofing contractor will always use a synthetic breathable underlayment, w/ice and water barrier beneath the tile installation. At Elements Roofing we pride ourselves in being true tile experts and guarantee the your underlayment will last the life of your tile.
